Svetlana Shlyapnikova (b. 1971, Kamensk-Uralskiy, Russia) is a curator who lives and works in Chelyabinsk. She graduated in Art History from the Urals State University. In 1998 she became a curator at Chelyabinsk State Museum of Fine Arts and in 2001became the art director at OkNo Gallery in Chelyabinsk. She took part in Arts Leadership Program in New York and San Francisco in 2008 and has completed a Cultural Management course organized by Robert Bosch and Goethe-Institut (Russia, 2010–2015). She has curated over fifty exhibitions and is the author of over seventy articles published in art journals, exhibition catalogues and booklets.
